Amy Becker, MD

Amy attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.  She completed her internship and residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She completed her pediatric nephrology fellowship at UT Southwestern/Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.  She is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric nephrology.  She also has earned a Masters in Clinical Science from UT Southwestern.   Prior to joining the CPSST team, she was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern and director of the Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Program.  Dr. Becker's interests include chronic kidney disease, dialysis, kidney stones, sickle cell nephropathy, and renal disease in metabolic diseases.  Her research has focused on the understanding and treatment of sickle cell nephropathy.
